SequrSign is an electronic signature platform built to solve one problem: signing a document shouldn't require the other side to create an account, and it shouldn't leave anyone unsure whether what was signed is what was actually sent.

What SequrSign Is For

Most signing tools were designed for organisations with a procurement process and a seat budget. That shape works badly for a ten-person company that needs four contracts signed this quarter and nothing at all the next. SequrSign is priced per signature rather than per seat per month, so a quiet quarter costs nothing.

The second thing we optimise for is the person on the receiving end. A client, a candidate, or a supplier who has been sent one document has no reason to create an account, verify an email, and pick a password before they can read it. SequrSign emails each signer their own link. They open it, read the document, and sign in the browser. That is the whole flow on their side.

How We Keep Your Documents Safe

Every document signed through SequrSign is fingerprinted the moment signing completes, using SHA-256 hashing. If the file changes afterward in any way, that fingerprint no longer matches. Tampering becomes detectable rather than something you have to take on faith.

Documents are also encrypted at rest in Amazon S3 and encrypted in transit over TLS. For signers where a link alone isn't enough assurance, SequrSign can require identity verification through a government ID document scan before a document can be signed.

Is this the same as a digital signature certificate?

No, and we want to be direct about that. SequrSign's tamper-evidence works at the application level: a stored hash that gets checked against the file, not a PDF-embedded cryptographic signature issued by a certificate authority. That means a standard PDF reader's built-in signature panel won't show a validated certificate on a SequrSign document. Read the full explanation on how we verify document integrity.

We would rather say that plainly here than have you discover it when a counterparty opens the file in Acrobat. If your use case specifically requires PDF-native certificate signatures, that is a different signing model than the one SequrSign offers today.

What You Can Do With It

You can upload PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and image files, and everything is converted to PDF for signing. A single document can go to several recipients, each with their own link, either all at once or in a set order. You can sign your own documents without sending them anywhere. And if you want signing triggered by your own systems rather than by someone clicking around a dashboard, there is an API for that.
